ÖLFLEX® SOLAR XL multi is used as individual connection of the solar modules among themselves or as extension cable between the panel strings worldwide. The TÜV Type approval is based on one of the latest 2 PfG 1169 specification. The UL listings enable the problem-free use for wiring of PV-systems in North America. According NEC (National Electrical Code) only for outdoor purposes listed cables are permitted for PV-installations in North America. The numerously carried out tests for the TÜV and UL approval ensure additionally safety and proven quality.

The robust power cable versions with big conductor cross-sections mainly are used as connection to the inverter for huge PV-plants.

ÖLFLEX® SOLAR XLv was designed considering the same photovoltaic application demands than the already existing ÖLFLEX® SOLAR product line. Due to a reinforced outer sheath the cable is largely resistant against mechanical influences and could be installed considering the common installation guidelines directly in earth (e.g. for use in solar field plants).

ÖLFLEX® SOLAR SR mainly is used as extension cable whenever narrow conduits or already existing cable ducts make subsequently cable or even cable bundle installation due to occuring adhesive force very difficult.

Based on the cable make-up and the excellent properties of ÖLFLEX® SOLAR plus this version was mainly developed for the use in afforested areas and farms where photovoltaic systems often are installed on the roofs of barns and stables.
